Young Actors Theatre

The year-round program for ages 8-18 produces musicals, Shakespearean plays, dramas and comedies at The Zephyr.

From auditions to rehearsals to fully staged productions, the Zephyr Young Actors Theatre provides a broad range of theatre performance opportunities.

More than classes, our Young Actors Theatre creates complete theatrical productions (usually our favorite musical theatre shows) that are fully costumed, with lights, sound, and sets. The technical aspects are performed in partnership with our professional staff. Students will learn how to design, collaborate, plan, implement, and operate in a professional theatre space.

Theatre professionals – directors, choreographers, vocal coaches, and technicians – focus on singing, dancing, acting, and stage craft. In the process, students take ownership of their roles and collaborate with other actors. The specific skills and immersive theatre experience help students build greater self-confidence both on and off stage, said Cassidy Hall, Director of the Zephyr Young Actors Theatre.
